OMG I Designed My Own Shower Gels! | Eleanor Bowmer x IL

The excitement is real right now as I write this - can we just take a moment…
*breathes deeply*
I’ve got a collaboration with Imperial Leather, I mean pinch me now.
I am so excited to finally be able to talk about this collaboration and show you the 5 shower gels I designed.
I thought it would be nice to give you a little look into the design process, where I got my inspiration from and also tell you a little bit about each bottle. I wish it was possible to show you how incredible these smell, like WOW. If you’re already a fan of Imperial Leather shower gels then you will know what I mean when I say the smell of them is amazing.
I have always been a fan of Imperial Leather and their products. It’s no shock that I’m a lover of colourful prints - I love how their designs really stand out and you can’t miss them when you’re walking down the shower gel aisle in Superdrug or Boots. Of course you want a shower gel that leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and smells divine (which these 100% do) but let’s be real, you also want something that looks cute in your bathroom, right?
When the lovely team at Imperial Leather got in touch with me and said they wanted me to add my twist on some of their best-selling scents, my brain was already ticking with ideas. It felt amazing to be able to put my own spin on the designs and really add that traditional EB feel. Can we talk about the names for a moment? The IL team smashed it -  “Talk to the Palm” is a personal favourite of mine!
Moving on, I think it’s only fair they each get their own little moment in the spotlight, so here we go!
*drum roll please*

Wild Thing

Firstly I can’t help but sing “Wild thing...you make my heart sing” whenever I see the name of this shower gel. Just me? Anyway, you didn’t think I’d design a shower gel without animal print did you? I had to stay true to my roots and throw in a little sassy leopard spot and zebra stripe. So if you’re feeling a little on the wild side, this is your pal. The scent is like a tropical cocktail filled with passionfruit and mango.

Rainbow Dreamin’

You’ll all recognise this one - my funky rainbow spot design. I love how colourful and fun this design is. I feel like this is the bottle I’d go for if I need a little mood booster. Just looking at the bottle makes you feel happy because the colours are so vibrant. The smell is divine as well, a mix of sweets and coconut and it makes you want to eat it (please do not eat it!)

Shello

This bottle reminds me of the little mermaid. One thing I LOVE about this design is the gorgeous gold foiling on the bottle, it’s so beautiful you have to see it in person. I really loved designing this bottle and I got a lot of inspiration from my Miami Shells designs. It felt amazing to bring the elements of my brand to life, with that Imperial Leather feel. Also who doesn’t want to smell like sea sparkles and water lily?

Mallowmazing

If you’ve got a sweet tooth like me then, this is the scent for you! It’s got the most amazing marshmallow fragrance and leaves your skin suuuper soft and smelling good enough to eat.  I mean what more do you want? This was such a cute design to create - I love the little marshmallow guys chilling in the clouds and I sort of just let my mind do it’s thing with this one and I am so happy with how it turned out.

Talk To The Palm

If you close our eyes and slather this on your skin, you will be teleported to a tropical island, sand in-between your toes, cocktail in hand….okay maybe not BUT if you use your imagination hard enough I promise you it will feel like you’re on holiday and we’re all longing for one of those, especially now! A lot of my inspiration for this design came from my exotic bamboo design. I really like the pop of pink colour in the text and how the colours really contrast. The perfect little bottle of sunshine.
I had so much fun creating these designs and cannot wait to hear what you guys think and to see these bottles in your home. With us spending more time at home at the moment, it’s a perfect excuse for more self-care. They also make great microphones for a round or two of Showeraoke…
